About Algona Emergency Medical Services

Algona Emergency Medical Services stands ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to provide emergency medical care and transportation at the highest level authorized by the State of Iowa. We also provide medical transport services for patients that must be transferred from Kossuth Regional Health Center to a higher level of care.

Our members can be found staffing one of our four ambulances at many special events around town including the varsity football games at both Algona High School and Bishop Garrigan High School, as well as local cross country meets, various 5K runs throughout Algona, and the weekly races at Algona Raceway on the Kossuth County Fairgrounds.

We also specialize in providing training and education in many areas, and are authorized to provide CPR and First Aid certification through the American Heart Association.
