Explore Space

We are proud to host the national traveling exhibit, Explore Space: A Cosmic Journey, which explores the fascinating world of space and astronomy. Explore Space covers topics such as the formation of planetary systems, asteroids and comets, Mars exploration, and solar storms and their impacts on Earth. The exhibit will be on display at Algona Public Library from 8/16/17 - 10/13/17.

Getting people interested in science can be a challenge, but Explore Space strives to make it fun by helping visitors answer the age old questions: Where did we come from and are we alone? The exhibition will teach audiences about our universe, including how stars planetary systems form and the role that gravity plays in our universe.

Algona Public Library will also offer a related series of public events to bring STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programming to children, teens, and adults.
