Street Department

The City of Algona Street Department has six employees who are responsible for all the maintenance of approximately 65 miles of public roadways, including street sweeping, street patching, traffic and street sign repair and maintenance, pavement striping and markings, equipment maintenance and repair, tree trimming, alley maintenance, asphalt patching, storm sewer repair and maintenance, dirt work, grading, concrete repair, traffic light maintenance, snow removal and ice control.

The Street Department maintenance building is located at 621 N. Hall Street.
